Wanted by Interpol! Alleged ISIS commander captured
An Iraqi national, identified as an alleged high-ranking commander of ISIS and wanted via an Interpol Red Notice, has been captured in Kırşehir.
Kırşehir Provincial Police Department Counter-Terrorism Branch teams launched an operation to apprehend the suspect, who had been operating as an alleged high-ranking commander within the ISIS terrorist organization in Iraq, as part of an investigation conducted by the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.
Teams conducted simultaneous operations at various addresses and apprehended F.H., who had been determined to have arrived in the city recently and frequently changed residences.
It was learned that the suspect was handed over to the authorities of the country that issued the notice following the completion of legal procedures.
