AFAD announced that a 3.8 magnitude earthquake occurred off the coast of Silivri in Istanbul at 20:46. The depth of the earthquake was recorded as 10.86 kilometers.
The Kandilli Observatory recorded the magnitude of the earthquake as 4 and its depth as 4.4.
'IT COULD LAST FOR WEEKS'
Following the earthquake, Prof. Dr. Okan Tüysüz warned, "Earthquakes of magnitude 4 and below within the Sea of Marmara could continue for weeks."
