Selvi issues warning for Erdoğan following Haniye assassination: 'The US and Israel have opened the assassination season'

Hamas Political Bureau Chief Ismail Haniyeh lost his life as a result of an assassination in Tehran, where he was attending the inauguration ceremony of Masoud Pezeshkian, who won the presidential election in Iran.

Hürriyet columnist Abdulkadir Selvi, known for his proximity to the government, expressed his concerns while evaluating the Haniyeh assassination.

"ERDOĞAN'S SCHEDULES MUST BE REVIEWED"

Writing that the US and Israel have opened the assassination season, Selvi stated that the schedules of AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan must be reviewed.

"THESE ARE DERANGED BANDITS"

Stating that Turkey needs to review certain measures following the Haniyeh assassination, Selvi noted the following:

“It appears that the US and Israel have opened the assassination season. This requires us to review some of our own measures as well. This is a vital issue. Do not say 'nothing will happen to us.' We are located in the most troubled geography in the world. These assassinations took place in our neighboring countries. Today, it is better understood how important the successive Mossad operations carried out by the MIT and the Ministry of Interior are in light of these assassinations.

Furthermore, the US is a country that carries out assassinations against its own presidents. Israel is a terrorist state. Therefore, security measures regarding President Erdoğan, Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, and MIT Chief İbrahim Kalın, as well as their domestic and international programs, must be reviewed. These are deranged bandits.”
