Warning from Turhan Çömez regarding Tayfun Kahraman's health: 'What you are doing is cruelty'

Gezi prisoner Tayfun Kahraman, who suffers from MS, was taken to the hospital yesterday after falling because he could not maintain his balance in prison.

Kahraman sustained a gash on his forehead and an abrasion on his hand due to the fall.

Meriç Kahraman stated that they had submitted an additional petition to the Constitutional Court (AYM) regarding her husband's health condition, saying, "Follow the laws, follow the court decisions, release my husband."

Following this development, a striking post came from İYİ Party MP and doctor Turhan Çömez regarding Kahraman, who is being held in prison despite experiencing serious health issues.

In his post, after listing the health problems Tayfun Kahraman is facing and what he has gone through during this process, Çömez wrote the following, asking, "Do you have no conscience at all?":

Tayfun Kahraman is an MS patient and is experiencing an acute flare-up, meaning the disease has relapsed.

He is under very serious medication treatment.

He cannot use his left leg because the nerves leading to it are affected; he is semi-paralyzed.

After being treated in the hospital for a while, Tayfun Kahraman was sent back to his cell.

Yesterday morning, when the prison officer came to the cell for the count, he wanted to stand up.

However, because his left leg did not support him, he fell to the ground and hit his head on the concrete floor.

While trying to protect himself with one hand, that hand was also injured.

He was taken to the Silivri Prison Hospital emergency room.

And then he was sent back to his cell again.

Enough is enough!
