Warning of a 'new attempt at betrayal against Istanbul': İmamoğlu reacts to Sazlıdere Dam project

A new post has come from Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor and CHP presidential candidate Ekrem İmamoğlu, who is currently imprisoned in Silivri.

On İmamoğlu's agenda was the Kanal Istanbul project, the AKP's project that has recently been discussed again. 

Calling it a 'new attempt at betrayal against Istanbul', İmamoğlu shared the following: 

I am addressing my nation; this is a new attempt at betrayal against Istanbul. 

They wanted to put us in prison, drain the Sazlıdere Dam, which is one of Istanbul's important water sources, and open the area for development. They want to leave 4 districts on the European Side without water; they want to destroy an established dam. This nation will stop your concrete canal, your passion for luxury housing, your rent-seeking projects, and your new betrayals against Istanbul. There will be no plunder; Istanbul has millions of guardians.

You may lock us in dungeons with slanders, conspiracies, and dirty tricks you plot behind closed doors, but you can never cast a shadow over our defense of our Istanbul.
