Watch out for that day! A heatwave that will scorch Turkey is coming: Temperatures to rise up to 45 degrees

Turkey is preparing for a heatwave that will begin on Friday and continue through the weekend. Meteorological Engineer Adil Tek announced that temperatures will peak, particularly in the Marmara, Aegean, and Southeastern Anatolia regions. As the northeasterly wind loses its effect, temperatures will rise rapidly. In Istanbul, the weather will reach around 35-37 degrees. However, the weather is expected to be slightly more bearable compared to the stifling heat of July.

40 DEGREES IN THRACE AND THE AEGEAN!

In the western part of the Marmara region, in Tekirdağ, Edirne, and Kırklareli, temperatures will approach 40 degrees. Temperatures will also reach 40 degrees in Çanakkale, Balıkesir, Bursa, Manisa, İzmir, Aydın, Muğla, and Denizli. In the inland parts of İzmir, thermometers will show 41-42 degrees.

SOUTHEASTERN ANATOLIA IS BURNING: TEMPERATURES APPROACHING 45 DEGREES!

Southeastern Anatolia is also among the regions where the highest temperatures will be experienced. In Diyarbakır, Mardin, Şanlıurfa, Şırnak, Siirt, Adıyaman, Gaziantep, Kilis, Osmaniye, and Kahramanmaraş, thermometers will exceed 45 degrees. In coastal regions, humidity levels will rise, making the temperatures stifling. In Antalya, Mersin, Adana, and Hatay, temperatures will be 33-34 degrees, but humidity will be high.

TEMPERATURES WILL REACH 34 DEGREES IN CENTRAL ANATOLIA

In the Central Anatolia Region, temperatures in Ankara, Eskişehir, Kütahya, and Afyon will hover between 33-34 degrees. On Saturday, temperatures will reach 38 degrees in provinces such as Çankırı, Çorum, and Amasya, while it will be 36-37 degrees in Ankara.

WATCH OUT FOR SUNDAY

Temperatures will begin to drop over the weekend. On Saturday, there will be a cooling of 4-5 degrees in the Aegean Region. Temperatures will also decrease in Marmara. However, temperatures will remain high in the Southeast and Central Anatolia. They will reach 35 degrees in Kırşehir, Nevşehir, and Yozgat. In the Southeast, temperatures will exceed 45 degrees. Precipitation will be limited over the weekend, but heavy rainfall is expected in Thrace at the beginning of the week.

Adil Tek stated that rainfall has been quite low throughout the summer, especially in the Aegean Region. There is no expectation of rainfall in the near future for provinces experiencing water issues, such as İzmir.
