CALL FROM THE MUNICIPALITY

Ankara Metropolitan Municipality stated that as of yesterday, there is enough water left in the dam basins to last for 310 days, and called for the efficient use of water.

In a post shared on the municipality's social media account, the following statements were included:

"Considering the rainfall and evaporation during the summer months we left behind in Ankara, it had almost no effect on the dam basins. As of November 19, 2024, in the event of no rainfall, there is enough water in the capital to last for approximately 310 days. Let us consume our water sparingly to use our limited water resources efficiently."

In the video included in the post, it was stated that the lowest water accumulation in Ankara's dams occurred in 1992 and the highest in 2023, and the data for last year and this year were compared in terms of precipitation rates.
