Water levels in Istanbul's dams increased by 8.77 percent

Istanbul's dams were filled by the rainfall that began on Friday and remained effective throughout the weekend.

With the precipitation, the water level in the dams increased by 8.77 percent, reaching 49.34 percent.

Heavy rains that began across Istanbul on Friday and intensified on Saturday continued to raise water levels in the dams, while the Istanbul Water and Sewerage Administration (İSKİ) announced the latest data on the dams. While the occupancy rate in the dams was 40.57 percent on Friday, it rose to 49.34 percent as of today, marking an increase of 8.77 percent due to the rainfall that has occurred since Friday.

The Alibey Dam rose from 51.04 percent on Friday to 61.05 percent today, which corresponds to an increase of 10.01 percent. The Büyükçekmece Dam increased from 25.73 to 38.85, showing an increase of 13.12 percent.
