Weapons and ammunition cache found under a bed in a Samsun attic!

Samsun's Çarşamba and Ayvacık districts were the site of an operation where weapons and ammunition were discovered in an attic, it has been reported.

The Provincial Gendarmerie Command Intelligence, Anti-Smuggling and Organized Crime branches, along with the Ayvacık District Gendarmerie Command and the Gendarmerie Criminal Investigation Team (JASAT), launched an investigation to apprehend individuals linked to crimes including threats, assault, deprivation of liberty, and forcing individuals to take the blame for crimes.

In this context, teams searched the residences, workplaces, and vehicles of 10 suspects in Çarşamba and Ayvacık. The searches resulted in the seizure of 4 pistols (one of which was a machine pistol and two were blank-firing), 6 shotguns, 245 infantry rifle cartridges, 935 pistol cartridges, 6 shotgun shells, 11 knives and brass knuckles, 291 thousand 940 filled macaroons, 2 cannabis plants, 10 grams of cannabis, and 38 synthetic pharmaceutical pills.

During a search in the attic of one house, it was determined that weapons and ammunition were hidden under a bed.

The 2 detained suspects were referred to the courthouse following their processing at the gendarmerie. One of the suspects was arrested by the on-duty criminal judgeship of peace, while the other was released under judicial control conditions.
