The results of a special survey conducted by MetroPOLL Research for March 8 have been released. The survey asked, 'What is the most significant problem for women in Turkey?'
MetroPOLL Research released a striking survey on March 8, International Women's Day. Participants were asked, 'What is the most significant problem for women in Turkey?'
In Turkey, Women's Day is unfortunately spent under the shadow of femicides, violence, harassment, and oppression.
394 WOMEN MURDERED IN THE LAST YEAR
According to data from the We Will Stop Femicide Platform, at least 394 women were murdered in 2024, and 259 women were found dead under suspicious circumstances.
In Turkey, where violence against women and femicides show no signs of ending, the most criticized issue remains the withdrawal from the Istanbul Convention.
