When Türkiye Kart will be available nationwide has been announced! It will be usable in more than 50 percent of Turkey by the end of the year

PTT General Manager Hakan Gülten made statements regarding the plans for Türkiye Kart to become available for use across the entire country. Türkiye Kart, which was announced by the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure in recent months, is expected to be used for many services, primarily public transportation.

According to the statement made by Gülten, PTT has begun negotiations with most municipalities. While the goal is for the application to cover more than 50 percent of Turkey by the end of this year, it is planned to be fully widespread across Turkey in 2025.

The PTT General Manager pointed out that public transportation cards between cities are currently not integrated, and stated that Türkiye Kart will solve this problem. Expressing that Türkiye Kart will not just be a public transportation card, Gülten emphasized that municipalities will continue to issue their own cards and that cards bearing the Türkiye Kart logo will be valid in integrated provinces.

According to Gülten's statements, the integration process between cities has begun. It was stated that Türkiye Kart has started to be used in Konya and that an agreement was recently made with Rize, while it was also noted that Türkiye Kart will be used in Kayseri in the coming period.

Gülten's statements are as follows:

“This is not just a public transportation card on its own. Our municipalities and administrations that issue public transportation cards will continue to issue their own cards. Those with a Türkiye Kart logo on them, like Troy, will also be valid in our integrated provinces.”
