Where is İnan Kıraç? Allegations of him being abducted from the hospital have been clarified

The whereabouts of İnan Kıraç, whose abduction footage from a hospital was widely discussed and for whom a legal guardian has been appointed, have been revealed. İnan Kıraç, one of Turkey's most important businesspeople, had experienced problems with his daughter İpek Kıraç after he remarried.

THE HOSPITAL WHERE HE IS STAYING

According to the news on Mynet, it was alleged that İnan Kıraç is being held at the NP İstanbul Brain Hospital in Ümraniye, and that such a decision was made by his legal guardian despite his desire to leave the hospital.

KIRAÇ'S CLOSE CIRCLE: "HOSPITAL CONDITIONS ARE POOR"

İnan Kıraç's close circle emphasized that the hospital conditions are inadequate and that Kıraç's request to return home or be transferred to another hospital was not accepted.

THE ABDUCTION ALLEGATION HAD BECOME A TOPIC OF DISCUSSION

In recent days, it was alleged that İnan Kıraç had been abducted from a hospital.

THE HOSPITAL HAD STATED THAT THE ALLEGATIONS WERE BASELESS

Following the development, the hospital stated in a release that the abduction allegation was baseless.

HIS LEGAL CAPACITY HAD BEEN REVOKED

On May 27, in the lawsuit filed by businessman İnan Kıraç's daughter, İpek Kıraç, for the annulment of her father's marriage to Emine Alangoya on the grounds that he lacked the legal capacity to marry, the court decided to revoke Kıraç's legal capacity.

The hearing was adjourned to July 4.

STATEMENT RELEASED

Following the incident, a statement came from İnan Kıraç's legal guardians, Attorney Atakan Yılmaz and Attorney Mert Öztekin.

The following statements were included in the release:

"The abduction of Mr. İnan Kıraç from a private hospital in Zeytinburnu, Istanbul, on the evening of May 22, 2025, quickly became a national agenda item. It has been observed that the public was misinformed in some news reports, therefore it has become necessary for us, as the legal guardians of Mr. İnan Kıraç, to inform the public.

Despite the decisions made by the guardianship court regarding the treatment of Mr. İnan Kıraç, his treatment process was disrupted due to malicious obstructions encountered during the implementation phase. Mr. İnan Kıraç was forced by some individuals to be taken to different provinces for about a month, and it is understood that this situation unfortunately negatively affected Mr. İnan Kıraç's health. When it was determined on May 21, 2025, that Mr. İnan Kıraç was at Kartal Lütfi Kırdar Hospital, his transfer to a private hospital in Zeytinburnu was ensured, accompanied by law enforcement and us, the guardians, despite all obstructions, and his treatment was initiated.

RESTRAINING ORDER

At the same time, a restraining order was issued by the Istanbul Anatolian 2nd Family Court against Emine Alangoya, prohibiting her from approaching Mr. İnan Kıraç and the residence where he is staying.

On May 22, 2025, during our visit to the hospital, it was noticed by us at the last moment that an attempt was being made to remove Mr. İnan Kıraç from the hospital with a large group. It was seen that Mr. İnan Kıraç was being directed towards a vehicle waiting for him at the hospital exit; despite all our warnings and efforts, Mr. İnan Kıraç was abducted from the hospital without our permission in the private vehicle waiting for him, and the incident was immediately reported to law enforcement. According to the information given to us by police officers while the search efforts were ongoing, the vehicle in which Mr. İnan Kıraç was located while being abducted from the hospital was changed for a different vehicle, his phones were left in the replaced vehicle, and it was learned that the individuals involved first set out towards outside the city with Mr. İnan Kıraç, and upon the abduction incident quickly becoming a national agenda item, the vehicle in transit changed direction and Mr. Kıraç was dropped off at his mansion in Vaniköy during the night hours.

Thanks to the rapid and effective work of the police units, Mr. Kıraç was found within hours and was safely taken to a healthcare facility again by us. We express our gratitude to all members of the Police Department who worked devotedly during this process. An investigation has been initiated by the prosecutor's office regarding the abduction incident, and the legal process is ongoing against the individuals and institutions that enabled, participated in, or were negligent in the abduction of Mr. İnan Kıraç.

Currently, Mr. İnan Kıraç is under treatment at a private specialized hospital in Ümraniye. His health status is being closely monitored, and our belief that he will regain his health and reunite with his loved ones as soon as possible is full. Mr. İnan Kıraç conveys his love and greetings to all his relatives and the Galatasaray community. As guardians, our primary duty is to protect Mr. Kıraç's health and best interests. No one should doubt our determination to fulfill our duty properly, despite being subjected to unlawful obstructions and pressures by some third parties and groups during the process of performing our duty. It is respectfully announced to the public, and we thank you, the esteemed members of the press."
