WHO IS ADİL KARAİSMAİLOĞLU?
Adil Karaismailoğlu was born on May 19, 1969, in Trabzon. He completed his undergraduate studies in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Karadeniz Technical University. He earned his master's degree in Urban Systems and Transportation Management at Bahçeşehir University.
He began his career in 1995 at the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) Transportation Coordination Directorate. In 1998, he worked in various units within the IETT General Directorate. He was appointed as the deputy director of the IMM Traffic Directorate in 2002 and as the director of the Transportation Coordination Directorate in 2009. While serving as the Head of the IMM Transportation Department in 2014, he was appointed as the Head of the Istanbul Real Estate Department of the Housing Development Administration (TOKİ) in 2016.
In 2018, he was appointed as the Deputy Secretary General of the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality. Karaismailoğlu resigned from this position in 2019 and was appointed as the Deputy Minister of Transport and Infrastructure in the same year. In 2020, he was appointed as the Minister of Transport and Infrastructure by presidential decree.
On April 9, 2023, he became a parliamentary candidate for the Justice and Development Party (AK Party) in Trabzon. He was elected as an AK Party MP for Trabzon in the 2023 Turkish general elections. On June 3, 2023, he handed over the position of Minister of Transport and Infrastructure to Abdulkadir Uraloğlu.
Adil Karaismailoğlu currently continues his duties as a Member of Parliament for Trabzon in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM).
