"As a result of the decision taken at the board meeting of our company dated 27.11.2024; it has been decided to accept the resignation of the Chairman of the Board, Mr. Hasan ARAT, from his chairmanship and membership of the Board of Directors, and to appoint Mr. Hüseyin YÜCEL to the vacant position of Chairman of the Board in accordance with Article 363 of the Turkish Commercial Code (TTK), to be submitted for the approval of the general assembly at the first general assembly meeting to be held. Respectfully announced to the public."

WHO IS HASAN ARAT?

Hasan Arat, who has come to the fore with his resignation from the chairmanship of Beşiktaş Futbol AŞ, is known for his active role in the sports world and his contributions to Beşiktaş.

Hasan Arat was born on September 27, 1959, in Istanbul. A Turkish sports administrator, businessman, and former professional basketball player, Arat is known for his career spanning from sports to management and the business world.

Having played for the Beşiktaş basketball team between 1976 and 1987, Hasan Arat won 3 Turkish League championships, 2 Turkish Cup titles, and 2 Presidential Cup championships with his team during this period. After ending his athletic career, Arat entered the business world and took on significant roles, particularly in the field of sports management.

Serving for many years at the Turkish Olympic Committee (TMOK), Arat served as a member of the TMOK Board of Directors between 2012-2016, as Vice President between 2016-2020, and as Deputy President since 2020.
