WHO IS METİN GÜRCAN?
Born in 1976 in the Bozüyük district of Bilecik, Metin Gürcan graduated from the Turkish Military Academy in 1998 as a Systems Engineer Infantry Lieutenant with honors.
Gürcan, who served in various units of the Turkish Armed Forces between 1998 and 2014, retired at his own request in January 2015 after completing his mandatory service period to focus on his academic career.
