WHO IS HAFİZE ÇELİK?
It is known that Hafize Çelik is the mother of the murderer Semih Çelik. Maintaining her silence following the incident, Hafize Çelik blamed the Uzuner family in a statement she made to ATV.
MOTHER ÇELİK'S REPROACH TO İKBAL'S FAMILY
Speaking to ATV News, Hafize Çelik stated that she had warned the Uzuner family multiple times but could not understand why İkbal was still being kept in Istanbul. The mother asked, "My son had previously made a suicide plan with İkbal. How could İkbal still stay in Istanbul after the video Semih sent with the content 'I will gouge out your eyes'?"

Çelik stated that her son had psychological problems and that they were constantly taking him to doctors because of this situation. "My son was prone to suicide, but I never imagined he would do something like this," the mother said, adding, "I did everything I could, but that İkbal never left him alone, she kept calling him."

Providing information about her son's suicide attempt, Çelik said, "Three years ago, they had planned to commit suicide together; when İkbal backed out, Semih stabbed himself in the heart." Describing the final conversation between her son and the murdered Ayşenur Halil, the mother said, "Ayşenur was with my son, I didn't sense anything."
