WHO IS ARIF GÜRKAN ALPAY?

Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Deputy Secretary General Arif Gürkan Alpay was born in Istanbul on December 1, 1976. Completing his primary, secondary, and high school education in Trabzon, Alpay finished his higher education in 1997 by graduating from the Department of Architecture at the Karadeniz Technical University Faculty of Engineering and Architecture.

ARIF GÜRKAN ALPAY'S LIFE AND CAREER

Taking his first steps into his professional life at the State Airports Authority's Trabzon International Terminal construction site, Arif Gürkan Alpay served as a manager in various departments at the Kıraç Municipality between 1999 and 2009, and subsequently at the Büyükçekmece Municipality between 2009 and 2015.

In 2015, Alpay took on the role of Manager of Business and Affiliates at the Beylikdüzü Municipality, later assuming the position of Deputy Mayor.

Appointed as the Head of the Purchasing Department at the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality on July 17, 2019, Alpay has been serving as the IMM Deputy Secretary General since September 4, 2020.
