WHO IS SELAMİ YILDIZ?

Born in Istanbul in 1968, Selami Yıldız began his education at the Ankara Police College and, after graduating in 1986, completed the Police Academy in 1990. He served as a Security Attaché at the Embassy of Portugal between 1998 and 2000. In 2014, he was promoted to the rank of 1st Class Police Chief.

Yıldız was appointed as the Adana Provincial Police Chief in 2017. As of 2023, he was appointed as the Deputy Director General of Security.
