WHO IS MERTHAN AÇIL?

Merthan Açıl was born on February 15, 1982, in Istanbul. Açıl, who began his football career in the youth academy of Bakırköyspor, quickly rose to the professional team. After playing for Bakırköyspor for two years, he transferred to Çaykur Rizespor, where he played for four seasons. In the 2005-06 season, he was sent on loan to İstanbul Büyükşehir Belediyespor and Giresunspor.
