WHO IS TANER ÇETİN?

Born in Silivri in 1962, the life story of Taner Çetin is being researched with interest.

Taner Çetin graduated from the Faculty of Business Administration at Konya Mevlana University. However, he shaped his career path not in the field of business, but along a line focused on culture and art. Following his university education, he worked as a folk dance instructor in Silivri for many years. In 1990, he began working as an instructor at the Culture House established within the Silivri Municipality. Thanks to the success he demonstrated in a short time, he was appointed as a director in 1992 and continued this role until 1996.

Another important turning point in Taner Çetin's career was shaped by his work in the media field. Following the establishment of Silivri FM in 1992, he was among the founders of Silivri's first private radio and television channel, which later took the name Marmara FM-TV.

Starting his duty as the Culture Manager at Avcılar Municipality in 2000, Çetin continued this role for 14 years. In 2014, he took a new step in his career and began working as the Press, Publication and Public Relations Manager of Beylikdüzü Municipality.
