Who is TÜSİAD President Orhan Turan? How old is he, where is he from, and what does he do?
TÜSİAD Board of Directors Chairman Orhan Turan spoke at the association's General Assembly held on February 13. Following his speech, Orhan Turan, who was a guest on the 'Para Politika' program with Özlem Gürses on SZC TV on February 14, has become a subject of curiosity for many. So, who is TÜSİAD President Orhan Turan? How old is he, where is he from, and what does he do? Here are the details...
The statements made by Orhan Turan, President of the Turkish Industry and Business Association (TÜSİAD), at the TÜSİAD general assembly have become a hot topic. Stating that there can be no economic improvement without judicial independence, Turan said, "We are losing many of our citizens in earthquakes, fires, and workplace accidents. This means that error, abuse, and favoritism are very widespread." The TÜSİAD President also reacted to the lawsuits filed against journalists and politicians.

MINISTER OF JUSTICE RESPONDS
Following his statements, Minister of Justice Yılmaz Tunç responded to Turan without mentioning his name. In his statement, Minister Tunç said the following:
“The Republic of Türkiye is a state of law. No institution, organization, or interest group is above the national will. One of the cornerstones of our democratic system is the separation of powers and the independence of the judiciary. Just as we do not accept any pressure on judicial processes, everyone should know very well that we are against any attempt to influence the judiciary. While it is certainly a democratic right for non-governmental organizations to express their opinions, efforts to direct the judiciary and politics are contrary to the spirit of democracy and the principle of the rule of law. Democracy is a common trust of the entire nation and the state, not just of certain circles.
Türkiye is not the old Türkiye.
Those who do not understand that the Türkiye directed by privileged segments is now a thing of the past should know this: No one or no organization can see themselves above the will of the nation and the law. Let no one have any doubt that we will continue to respond in the strongest possible way within the framework of the law to any attempt to interfere with the legal order, just as we have done until today.”
