WHO statement on new pandemic: More deadly than Covid-19!
World Health Organization (WHO) Director-General Tedros Ghebreyesus stated that "Disease X" is more deadly than Covid-19. He called on the world to reach a "pandemic agreement."
World Health Organization (WHO) Director-General Tedros Ghebreyesus spoke at the World Economic Forum in Davos. In his speech, Ghebreyesus mentioned a new pandemic and stated that precautions must be taken.
Ghebreyesus said, "I hope that countries will reach a pandemic agreement by May to combat this common enemy."
"DISEASE X IS MORE DANGEROUS"
Stating that they lost people who could have been saved during the Covid-19 period because there was no space, Ghebreyesus said, "There was not enough oxygen. How can you have a system that can expand when the need arises?"
PREPARATIONS MUST BE MADE FOR OTHER PANDEMICS
Ghebreyesus also said that the WHO has begun implementing measures to prepare for another pandemic, including the establishment of a pandemic fund and a "technology transfer hub" in South Africa.
