Why are the statements of 5 secret witnesses missing? MHP media responds to CHP's reaction to the IMM indictment!

Uncertainty continues regarding the secret witnesses in the comprehensive indictment prepared for the CHP's Presidential Candidate and detained IMM President Ekrem İmamoğlu, which includes a request for up to 2,430 years in prison.

NEW APPLICATION TO THE JUDICIARY FROM CHP

CHP Chairman Özgür Özel had announced that while the indictment was being prepared, the statements of "Secret Witness Meşe" were removed and replaced with the accounts of "Secret Witness İlke".

CHP Aydın Deputy Bülent Tezcan also reported that the statements of 5 of the 15 secret witnesses were not in the indictment.

While Özel called out by saying, "We will ask the HSK to intervene in this matter," he had stated, "If the sentence spoken on March 19, when the statements existed, is written today for İlke, who was not there that day, and Meşe is removed, is the statement Meşe's, İlke's, or is this a slander? When the secret witness backed out, the secret witness was changed. The statement is the same down to the last period and comma."

The CHP has made an official application to the HSK in line with these allegations.

CONTRADICTIONS IN DATES IN THE PETITION

In the application text, it was stated that the questions directed to those detained on March 19, 2025, were based on "Secret Witness Meşe's statement dated March 17"; however, the same statements were written in the indictment as "Secret Witness İlke's statement dated November 18, 2024".

In light of the findings listed in the petition, the CHP requested that both a judicial and administrative investigation be launched against the prosecutors who prepared the indictment.

RESPONSE FROM TÜRKGÜN

Following the secret witness debates, a response came from the screens of Bengü Türk, which is close to the MHP. According to the report by Dilruba Koçak, it was stated that the statements of the 5 secret witnesses were not included in the indictment on the grounds that they related to other files under investigation.

“SUPPLEMENTARY INDICTMENT MAY COME” STATEMENT

According to Chief Public Prosecutor's Office sources, the secret witnesses whose statements were not found in the text were listed as Meşe, Kartal, Şahin, Ladin, and Maun. The report stated, "The statements given by these individuals are still being investigated, therefore they are not included in this indictment. A supplementary indictment may also be prepared and the statements may be added."
