Filiz Akın had been struggling with health issues for a long time. Filiz Akın was diagnosed with nasopharyngeal (nasal) cancer in 2002 and defeated the disease after long-term treatments. However, due to the weakening of her immune system in her later years, she experienced health problems from time to time. She passed away as a result of these complications.
