Why was Cem Adrian's concert cancelled? Statement from the Governor's Office

Singer Cem Adrian's concert in Bingöl was reportedly cancelled one day before it was scheduled to take place.

The Bingöl Governor's Office issued a statement regarding the news reports and social media posts titled "Cem Adrian's Bingöl concert cancelled 1 day before the event."

In its statement, the Governor's Office noted that it felt compelled to address the matter following reports and posts published on certain news websites and social media platforms.

The statement included the following:

"For such topics and activities, the official process proceeds with organizers making a contract/protocol regarding the allocation of the venue, hall, or congress center where the event will be held, and applying to our Governor's Office along with printed tickets. In the application submitted to our Governor's Office on November 8, 2024, by Tarık Bingöllü on behalf of the relevant firm, it was stated that they wished to organize a public paid concert on Wednesday, November 13, between 20:30 and 23:00 at the Bingöl University Conference Hall, with the participation of the artist Cem Filiz, whose stage name is Cem Adrian. Since the poster and ticket sample signed by the organizer and the hall allocation document were missing in the application in question, we requested on the same day, November 8, via our letter numbered 28129, that the firm complete and submit these missing items at least 48 hours before the event. No documents have reached our Governor's Office since that date. Furthermore, on November 12, information was shared on the social media accounts of the aforementioned artist and the organizers that the program to be held on November 13 at the Bingöl Municipality Hall was cancelled. There is also no information or document that has reached our Governor's Office regarding the concert in question being held at the municipal hall."
