Wife of fallen gendarmerie sergeant hospitalized: Gives birth 1 month early
The 8-month pregnant wife of Gendarmerie Specialist Sergeant Orhan Burak Büyükçaylı, who was martyred when his armored vehicle overturned while on duty in the Ovacık district of Tunceli, has given birth in Balıkesir.
Gizem Büyükçaylı, the wife of Gendarmerie Specialist Sergeant Orhan Burak Büyükçaylı, who was martyred when his armored vehicle overturned in the Ovacık district of Tunceli, was living with her family in Balıkesir as she was 8 months pregnant. Upon receiving the news of her husband's martyrdom, Büyükçaylı fell ill and was rushed to the Obstetrics Emergency Service of Balıkesir Atatürk City Hospital.
Büyükçaylı, who underwent a cesarean section, gave birth to a baby boy.
A Turkish flag was also hung at the home of Gizem Büyükçaylı's father in the Sakarya neighborhood of the Karesi district.
