According to information reflected in the lobbies, it was suggested that AKP Chairman and President Erdoğan would announce an additional raise at today's group meeting. It is claimed that Erdoğan, who took the podium at the AKP Group Meeting, would increase the announced figure from 22,104 TL to 24,000 TL, which is referred to as the 'psychological threshold,' due to the reactions.

"The commission, which began its work on December 10, completed its work yesterday. May it be auspicious for our nation," said Erdoğan, who did not make the expected increase. Erdoğan stated the following:

"This figure corresponds to a net increase of 30 percent compared to 2024. We have once again remained faithful to our promise not to let our employees be crushed by inflation. I wish the new minimum wage to be auspicious for employees and employers."

In the continuation of his speech, Erdoğan spoke about the foreclosure proceedings initiated by the Ministry of Labor and Social Security against CHP-run municipalities. Stating, "It is no coincidence that 7 of the 10 municipalities most indebted to the SGK are CHP-run, and that İzmir is at the very top," Erdoğan said:

"Even if you try to stall, there is no escape. You will pay your premium debts to the SGK whether you like it or not. Excuse me, but we will not let you squander the rights of orphans and the destitute on concerts and wine tours. Those who turn into doves when it comes to paying their debts turn into hawks when it comes to ranting about the minimum wage. That is because they are not carrying the burden on their backs. We are facing an opposition that is falling apart at the seams."
