Will Turkey return to winter time? Minister Bayraktar explains
Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Alparslan Bayraktar announced that they are not considering any changes regarding the winter time application. Turkey will not turn its clocks back on October 29; the permanent daylight saving time application will continue.
As Europe prepares to switch to winter time, questions have begun to arise in Turkey regarding whether clocks will be turned back. Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Alparslan Bayraktar answered journalists' questions before the AK Party Group Meeting and addressed the winter time application.
Speaking on the subject, Alparslan Bayraktar stated, "We are not considering a change, but provinces can make their own arrangements regarding working and school hours."

Across the world, clocks are turned back on Sunday, October 29. The permanent daylight saving time application, which began in Turkey in 2016, will continue again this year.
When Europe switches to winter time on October 29, the time difference between Turkey and Germany, France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Italy, Sweden, Switzerland, and Denmark will increase from 1 to 2 hours, and to 3 hours with the United Kingdom.
