Woman dies after being trapped under bed base while cleaning
In Şişli, 43-year-old Burcu E. lost her life after the bed base she had opened for cleaning collapsed on her. The incident occurred on the 2nd floor of a building on Mithatpaşa Street. Emergency medical teams, arriving following a report from family members, determined that Burcu E. had died at the scene. Her body was sent to the Forensic Medicine Institute, and she will be laid to rest following a ceremony at the Hacı Bektaş Veli Okmeydanı Cemevi.
A tragic incident occurred yesterday at around 15:00 on the 2nd floor of a building on Mithatpaşa Street in Istanbul's Şişli district. According to the information obtained, 43-year-old Burcu E., who was reported to be a sales manager, opened the bed base to clean. While she was removing items from inside, the base fell on her. Upon the notification of family members who noticed the situation, police and medical teams were dispatched to the scene.
Medical teams determined that Burcu E. had lost her life at the scene. Following the work of the crime scene investigation teams, Burcu E.'s body was sent to the Forensic Medicine Institute Morgue.
The body was handed over to the family after the procedures were completed. Burcu E.'s funeral will be laid to rest following a ceremony to be held at the Hacı Bektaş Veli Okmeydanı Cemevi.
