Woman murdered in her home in Yalova, bound with 'pig-tie' method

Canan Cerit (55), a mushroom producer in Yalova, was found strangled in her home with her hands and feet tied behind her back with rope.

After relatives were unable to reach Canan Cerit, who resided on the second floor of a building in the Sultaniye neighborhood of the Çiftlikköy district, they notified the police. Police officers arrived at the address and entered the apartment with the assistance of the fire department, accompanied by medical teams. The teams found Cerit dead. It was learned that the woman had been bound with a 'pig-tie' method on her hands and feet.

Following the incident, the prosecutor and crime scene investigation teams conducted an examination. Cerit's body was subsequently taken to Yalova Training and Research Hospital for an autopsy.

2 EMPLOYEES ARE MISSING

On the other hand, according to initial findings, it is suspected that the woman, who is believed to have been strangled to death, fell victim to a murder committed by two foreign nationals who worked for her. It was learned that the female entrepreneur would have breakfast with her employees at her home every morning before heading to work. It is estimated that the murder took place yesterday morning. Furthermore, it is alleged that the suspects took valuables and money belonging to Cerit.

Following the murder, crime scene investigation teams conducted an examination of a vehicle belonging to the mushroom company parked on Sefabey Street. The teams searched the vehicle and collected fingerprints. It is believed that the suspects arrived at the center in this vehicle.
