Written statement from the hospital regarding the death of Reha Muhtar

Journalist Reha Muhtar has passed away in the General Intensive Care Unit of Acıbadem Bodrum Hospital, where he was receiving treatment.

Following Muhtar's death, Acıbadem Bodrum Hospital Chief Physician and Anesthesiology and Reanimation Specialist Dr. Nevra Gülhan Görgülü issued a written statement sharing details regarding his treatment process.

In her statement, Görgülü used the following expressions:

"Reha Muhtar was brought to our hospital on May 28, 2026. During his medical evaluation, it was observed that he had advanced heart failure, arrhythmia, infection, and metabolic imbalance due to uncontrolled diabetes. Our patient, whose treatment began in the General Intensive Care Unit, developed multi-organ failure and, despite all medical interventions, passed away on June 3, 2026, at 02:15. We wish him God's mercy and extend our condolences and patience to his family and loved ones."
