Yaşar Güler wags finger at martyr's mother Pakize Akbaba: 'You are a martyr's mother, that's all'

Air Pilot First Lieutenant Cüneyt Kandemir, Air Aircraft Maintenance Senior Master Sergeant Ümit İnce, and Air Transport Specialist Sergeant Cem Dolapci, who were martyred in a C-130 type military cargo plane belonging to the Ministry of National Defense (MSB) that crashed on the Azerbaijan-Georgia border, were laid to rest in Ankara.

"DO NOT SPEAK INSOLENTLY, YOU ARE A MARTYR'S MOTHER, THAT'S ALL!"

Pakize Akbaba, President of the Martyrs' Mothers Association, also attended the funeral ceremony. Sitting in the condolence tent with other martyrs' mothers, Pakize Akbaba conveyed her objection to the new peace process to Hakan Fidan, Numan Kurtulmuş, and Yaşar Güler.

Akbaba said to Kurtulmuş, who greeted her, "We do not want terrorists in Parliament." Receiving the response "We don't want them either" from Kurtulmuş, Akbaba objected to the situation by saying, "You do want them!" Upon this, Kurtulmuş walked away from Akbaba, saying, "We will handle it."

Afterward, Akbaba expressed her objection regarding the separatist peace process to Minister of National Defense Yaşar Güler, who had come to her side. Addressing Güler, Akbaba said, "You cannot forgive the murderer of our children! This is not your place! We do not want them in Parliament."

After these words, Güler returned to Akbaba, from whom he had previously walked away. Wagging his finger at Akbaba, Güler said, "This is not the place, do not be insolent. Do not speak insolently, there is a funeral here. You are a martyr's mother, that's all."

Upon this, Akbaba replied to Güler, saying, "You never cared about us. You did not wipe away our tears."

After these words from Akbaba, as Güler walked away from the area, other relatives of martyrs in the tent reacted, saying, "You are talking to a martyr's mother. This is not just a funeral, it is a martyrdom ceremony. You are talking to a martyr's mother, do not be insolent yourselves."

"I AM RIGHT, I HAVE TO ASK"

According to the report by Burakhan Başarır from Veryansıntv, Pakize Akbaba expressed the following regarding the gesture made toward her:

"Why don't you show those reactions to the PKK terrorist organization? You are having them chant slogans in Parliament. I am right. I have to ask. You are the ones governing the Republic of Turkey today. I am forced to say to you: You are forgiving the murderers of the martyrs! Am I the insolent one, or are you? What does it mean to forgive the murderer of our children?" she said.
