In the video she filmed in front of her own home, Yasemin Minguzzi stated that the people who killed her son are free and that her family is constantly receiving threats.

Stating that a police vehicle has been waiting in front of her door for security purposes for about a year, Minguzzi expressed that she still does not feel safe despite this. Mother Minguzzi described what they are going through with the words, "My son's killers are free and I am constantly receiving death threats. My little nieces and nephews are being followed all the way to their schools. This police car has been in front of my door for about a year. Last night, the killers even went live on TikTok. Please hear our voice. It has become unbearable."
