The General Directorate of Meteorology (MGM) has issued warnings for heavy rainfall, storms, and dust transport across numerous regions in its weather forecast report for Tuesday, October 13, 2026. While partly to very cloudy weather is expected to prevail across Turkey, rain and thunderstorms are forecast for the Marmara, Aegean, Mediterranean, Black Sea, Eastern and Southeastern Anatolia regions, as well as the northwestern part of Central Anatolia.
According to MGM assessments, rainfall will be locally heavy in the western part of the Marmara region, the Aegean coast, the Western Mediterranean coast, and the surroundings of Şanlıurfa. Authorities have urged citizens to be cautious and take precautions against risks such as flash floods, inundation, lightning strikes, and disruptions to transportation.
The provinces under a yellow alert were announced as Adıyaman, Balıkesir, Çanakkale, Diyarbakır, Edirne, Elazığ, Gaziantep, İzmir, Kırklareli, Malatya, Manisa, Mardin, Tekirdağ, Şanlıurfa, Batman, and Kilis.

Dust transport originating from Syria is expected to continue affecting Southeastern Anatolia until the afternoon hours. It was reported that dust transport may intensify in some areas around Gaziantep, Kilis, Adıyaman, Şanlıurfa, Diyarbakır, Mardin, Batman, Malatya, and Elazığ.
It was stated that the dust transport could lead to a decline in air quality, reduced visibility, mud-like precipitation, and disruptions in transportation. Those with respiratory conditions are advised to be cautious during outdoor activities.
Adverse weather conditions are also expected at sea. In the Sea of Marmara, northerly and northeasterly winds are expected to increase in intensity starting from the afternoon hours.
Air temperatures are expected to decrease by 1 to 3 degrees across the country. Temperatures in the central and western parts are expected to remain around seasonal norms, while they are expected to be 2 to 4 degrees below normal in the eastern regions.
