Yeni Akit continues to target Mahir Polat! Scandalous remarks from Karahasanoğlu
Ali Karahasanoğlu, a columnist for the pro-government newspaper Yeni Akit, has targeted Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB) Deputy Secretary General Mahir Polat.
Known for its proximity to the government and its anti-Republic and anti-Atatürk stance, the newspaper Yeni Akit continues to target Mahir Polat, the Deputy Secretary General of the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB), who was arrested and sent to Silivri Prison as part of an investigation launched into the İBB, and was later placed under house arrest due to health issues.
Yeni Akit had previously claimed that Polat intentionally did not take his medication despite being a high blood pressure patient.

While the repercussions of that report continue, one of the newspaper's columnists, Ali Karahasanoğlu, also targeted Polat.
In his column titled 'It is something far beyond the ingratitude you have shown!', Karahasanoğlu referred to Polat as "the man who remembered he had high blood pressure once he entered prison."
"Are you going to ignore the immorality and lawlessness of the man named Mahir Polat, who suddenly remembered he was a high blood pressure patient once he entered prison, spending hundreds of thousands of liras in Kadıköy to have drawings of male and female genitalia made and displaying them to the millions of people passing by?"
