Yeni Şafak columnist Karagül's baffling contradiction: Just 12 minutes apart
Yeni Şafak columnist İbrahim Karagül's comments on his social media account, posted just 12 minutes apart, have left readers stunned.
Yeni Şafak columnist İbrahim Karagül used contradictory statements in two posts he made on the social media platform X on December 10, 2024.
In his first post at 09:44 AM, Karagül stated, "The expansionism of Iran and Israel has ended," while just 12 minutes later, at 09:56 AM, he wrote, "Israel, together with the US, has bombed all of Syria's military infrastructure and has crossed the buffer zone, approaching within 21 kilometers of Damascus.
The US and Israel are currently occupying Syria from two sides."

These contradictory posts were heavily criticized on social media.
One follower reacted to İbrahim Karagül's statements with the following comment:
"It becomes clear with every passing day, through examples like this, that the pro-government media cannot accurately read or interpret any event and only produces nonsense to stir up the public."
Cem Toker, the former chairman of the Liberal Democratic Party, criticized Karagül, stating, "They call this person and others like him a 'journalist and/or columnist' in Turkey, and even more strangely, they pay them a salary... What an interesting country!" he used the expressions.
