Yeniden Refah Party announces 'the right timing for early elections': Here are those dates

Expressing their support for the work stoppage action organized by the Yol-İş Union across the country, Kılıç stated, “Yol-İş employees across Turkey carried out a one-hour work stoppage this morning. Across the country, between 7:30 and 8:30, before the department heads had even started work, the employees and those who sweat for their living carried out a work stoppage action.

Behind this work stoppage lies the rise in tax brackets, the decrease in salary increase rates, and the increase in deductions for retirees. Therefore, making a living is becoming more impossible for employees every day. We see the fact that the action took place between 7:30 and 8:30 in the morning as a sign of good faith regarding Turkey and our people.

We notice that it was a very clever and very meaningful choice of time. We congratulate them. We want them to know that we are by their side on every platform and at all times. We invite all members of the government, especially the Minister of Finance, to observe the rights of employees, to reward their hard work, and to save them from being crushed by tax brackets, high inflation, and low salary increase rates. The state's hand must reach out to the employee, the worker, the civil servant, and the retiree,” he said.

"OUR CITIZENS MUST BE PROVIDED WITH AN INCOME ABOVE THE HUNGER THRESHOLD"

Reminding that the hunger threshold in Turkey is approaching 20 thousand liras, Kılıç said, “The minimum wage is still 17 thousand liras, and the lowest pension is 12 thousand 500 liras. Will 12 thousand 500 liras pay the rent? Will the bills be paid? Will kitchen expenses be covered? Will the needs of the children be taken care of? We do not deserve to be a country living below the hunger threshold. Measures must be taken urgently! Resources must be found. By mobilizing Turkey's resources, our citizens must be provided with an income above the hunger threshold. We are at the end of the road. But we are below the hunger threshold,” he said.

"MINISTER YUMAKLI IS TRYING TO CORNER OUR FARMER AS IF TO MAKE HIM REGRET IT"

Speaking about the dialogue between Minister of Agriculture and Forestry İbrahim Yumaklı and a farmer growing hemp, Kılıç said, “We also find the polemic that Minister of Agriculture İbrahim Yumaklı had with a farmer brother of ours who is growing hemp in Konya to be interesting and noteworthy. The Minister of Agriculture asks the villager who is growing hemp why he is planting it.

He is almost trying to corner our farmer as if to make him regret planting it. Yet, just a few years ago, while agricultural policies were being presented to the public under the leadership of the President, hemp cultivation was encouraged, especially in our provinces of Samsun and Konya, and it was underlined how strategic a product hemp is and what an important agricultural development it is in industry, textiles, and every area of life. We condemn this attitude. We evaluate this attitude as a reflection of a mental exhaustion.

Stating that Israel has moved the crime against humanity it committed in Gaza to Lebanon, Kılıç said, “Civilians are the target in Lebanon. Bombs are being dropped on civilian settlements in Lebanon with intent. Airstrikes are being carried out. Cyberattacks have been replaced by airstrikes. When the first bomb was dropped on Gaza, what we said was this: The turn is in Lebanon. Today, as bombs are being dropped on Lebanon, what we are saying is this: The turn is for the other Muslim countries in the vicinity that are not speaking up today. And this will continue in the same way. Because Israel is governed by a terror cabinet that has made state terrorism its government policy. It is inevitable that everyone and all organizations, especially the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and the United Nations, who say 'I am a human being, I am a moral being,' and who respect the right to life of innocent women and children, must take action,” he said.

Emphasizing that the Islamic world has the power and capability to stand against Israel and the USA, Kılıç said, “The Muslim world possesses the tools, means, opportunities, power, oil, natural gas, and strategic transportation locations to resist these structures.

If action is not taken today, and if comprehensive, simultaneous action is not taken, it will be too late tomorrow to stop Israel's general terror watch. I express once again that we, as the Yeniden Refah Party family and its Central Executive Board, support and will support every radical and sharp step that the Republic of Turkey Government will take against the persecution and genocides being committed by the Israeli terror cabinet,” he said.

"NOVEMBER 23, 2025 OR MAY 17, 2026 ARE THE RIGHT TIMING FOR AN EARLY ELECTION"

Underlining that there is no possibility for Turkey to continue its path with the current government, Kılıç said, “In the face of the economic conditions we are in, high inflation, high interest rates, exploding credit cards, unpaid checks and promissory notes, closed businesses, production reaching a standstill, and unemployment rates reaching historical record figures, we see that the Turkish economy is no longer sustainable.

Mr. Mehmet Şimşek has not been able to utilize the credit opened to him, has not been able to change the course, has not been able to get Turkey out of the debt-interest spiral, and has not been able to obtain or provide the transformations and legal support that would give confidence to the outside world for the country.

Under these circumstances, it is inevitable that early elections will enter Turkey's agenda. As the Yeniden Refah Party, I think that our country should be moved to an early election ground with a common consensus in the autumn of next year or the following spring. In this sense, we share with our society our opinion that November 23, 2025 or May 17, 2026 would be the right timing for an early election to be held,” he said.

"THE DOORS OF THE YENIDEN REFAH PARTY ARE OPEN TO FUTURE PROPOSALS"

Stating that they believe Turkey should be saved from the deadlock between the AK Party and the CHP in the upcoming elections, Kılıç said, "Our chairman has personally stated that there will be no new alliance process with the AK Party in the upcoming elections and for a possible Presidential election. There is another point expressed in this interview. Our chairman says that we can open a new path on the right in Turkey. We can form the basis for a third alliance. We can express this as follows.

Even if the election is held on time, we foresee that a third alliance can be formed under the leadership of the Yeniden Refah Party, and with this alliance, Turkey can be saved from the deadlock between the CHP and the AK Party. This is also our chairman's statement. Let us remind and record this once again. The issue of the merger of the Deva Party and the Future Party is a completely different matter. The Future Party is merging with DEVA and they are trying to build the infrastructure for the decision to continue under a common name.

We have already stated at various times that the Yeniden Refah Party does not look favorably on such a merger and will not do so. The Yeniden Refah Party is a political party that will live up to its name. But what will our attitude be towards the search for forming a group in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey? What will our approach be? In what direction will we take a step? The truth is, there is one thing we have always stated from the beginning.

Politics is done with open doors. It is not possible to look forward or open a path in politics with closed doors and clenched fists. In this framework, the doors of the Yeniden Refah Party are open to future proposals. There is no concrete, clear cooperation proposal that has reached us at the moment, but our door is open,” he assessed.
