Yeşilçam actor stabbed in his home
Veteran actor Mehmet Serdar Sulukahya was stabbed in his Beşiktaş home by a woman he met on social media. Sulukahya, who was seriously injured, is currently receiving treatment in the hospital, while the young female assailant has been apprehended by the police.
63-year-old Yeşilçam actor Mehmet Serdar Sulukahya, who appeared on the silver screen in films such as Beyaz Ölüm, Hülyam, and Yakılacak Kadın alongside stars like Tarık Akan and Fatma Girik, experienced a terrifying ordeal in Beşiktaş, Istanbul.
STABBED IN HIS HOME BY A WOMAN HE MET ON SOCIAL MEDIA
According to the information obtained, Sulukahya, who lives in the Netherlands and visits Turkey during certain times of the year, met with a young woman he had connected with on social media at his home in Beşiktaş. Following an argument that broke out during the night, the woman, who is alleged to be around 25 years old, stabbed the actor in various parts of his body.
Covered in blood, Sulukahya tried to crawl from his home to reach his neighbors. It was learned that the actor, who was taken to the hospital by medical teams arriving at the scene following the report, was admitted to intensive care due to the life-threatening nature of his injuries.
ASSAILANT APPREHENDED IN A SHORT TIME
The woman, who fled after the incident, was taken into custody following an operation launched by law enforcement shortly thereafter. While the investigation is ongoing, the motive for the attack has not yet been clarified.
