Former Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Yılmaz Büyükerşen has announced his resignation from the CHP.
Yılmaz Büyükerşen stated, "I have resigned from the CHP, which was led by Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, who became the Chairman of the Republican People's Party through legal maneuvers."
Yılmaz Büyükerşen, who served as the Mayor of Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality between 1999 and 2024, has resigned from the CHP.
In his statement, Büyükerşen used the following expressions:
"I currently find the cadres within the CHP to be inadequate. I have resigned from the CHP, which was led by Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, who became the Chairman of the Republican People's Party through legal maneuvers.
The CHP, founded by Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, always lives in my soul and heart, and it will continue to do so."
Following Özgür Özel's farewell statement, figures such as Onur Akın, Arif Sağ, and Sabahat Akkiraz had previously resigned from the CHP.
