Yılmaz Özdil reveals poll results: Mansur Yavaş was winning with 62 percent, Ekrem İmamoğlu with 56 percent

Evaluating current events on the program Kırmızı Beyaz broadcast on Sözcü TV, Yılmaz Özdil revisited the 2023 presidential election period and shared the results of polls that reached him at the time.

Özdil recalled that he had repeatedly stated that the race would be won if they entered the elections with either Mansur Yavaş or Ekrem İmamoğlu as the candidate, but that he received intense criticism for it.

Yılmaz Özdil said the following:

"I had polls from multinational companies in my hands, I had the European Union's poll... Mansur Yavaş appeared at 62 percent, Ekrem İmamoğlu at 56 percent.

There were two people in Turkey who were ahead of Tayyip Erdoğan! Mansur Yavaş appeared at 62 percent... Kılıçdaroğlu wasn't even a factor in the poll.

We begged here, saying 'this media is lying to you, if Mansur Yavaş and Ekrem İmamoğlu do not become candidates, the election will be lost, don't do this.' They said, 'You are Meral Akşener's dog.' I told them, 'You are playing with the fate of 85 million, don't do this.'

They said Kılıçdaroğlu was winning with 60 percent, and the election was lost!

When they said sixty percent, and we said 'you are lying, don't do this, it's a sin against this nation,' they called me an AKP troll."
