In an incident reported to have occurred on the evening of July 14, 2025, in the Kireçburnu neighborhood of Istanbul's Sarıyer district, 27-year-old lawyer Göksu Çelebi was allegedly with Gökalp İçer, Chairman of the Board of ICRYPEX, which operates in the cryptocurrency market. According to the allegations, the pair used cocaine throughout the night.

FELL ILL, HOSPITALIZED

After using the narcotic substance, Çelebi fell ill shortly thereafter and was taken by ambulance to Çayırbaşı Hamidiye Etfal Training and Research Hospital. The young woman, who was unconscious upon arrival at the hospital, was admitted to intensive care. It was reported that Çelebi remained in a coma for a long time and that her condition was critical.

CHIEF PUBLIC PROSECUTOR'S OFFICE LAUNCHED AN INVESTIGATION

In a statement regarding the incident, the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office stated, "An investigation has been launched against the suspect G.İ. for supplying narcotic substances and attempted murder with possible intent, for providing narcotic substances to and enabling the use of them by the victim named G.Ç., who was hospitalized on 14.07.2025 due to drug use and whose life remains in danger." The statement also noted that an order for the detention of Gökalp İçer had been issued.

LOST HER BATTLE FOR LIFE

The tragic news regarding Göksu Çelebi, who had been in intensive care for days, arrived in the morning hours. Hospital officials announced that despite all interventions, the young lawyer could not be saved and has passed away.
