Young people break through barriers and ticket booths to enter Cukurova Rock Festival in Adana

The Cukurova Rock Festival, which was planned to be held on October 12-13-14-15, opened its doors to those over 18 after the Adana Administrative Court issued a stay of execution against the cancellation decision. 

Thousands of young people arrived at the banks of the Seyhan River, the festival venue, creating a dense crowd. The organizing committee closed the barriers at the entrance for a while due to the presence of individuals under 18 among the crowd.

The young people who arrived at the concert area went wild when the gates were closed.

The young people tore down the barriers and jumped over them to storm the concert area. They continued to enter by smashing the containers used for ticket sales.

During the scuffle, security personnel allegedly assaulted the young people accused of damaging the ticket booths and barricades.

Organizer and artist Umut Kuzey also intervened in the situation and tried to calm the young people down.

After a while, the situation calmed down, and the festival began as ticketed audience members over 18 were admitted to the concert.

On the first day of the festival, Deynekciler, Yedinci Ev, Heijan - Muti, Dedublüman, and Uzi took the stage.
