YSK rules on election objections for 11 districts
Following the March 31 Local Administration General Elections, the Supreme Election Council (YSK) continues to evaluate objections filed by political parties regarding the election results. As a result of its evaluations, the YSK has reached a decision on objections made for 11 more districts.
Following the March 31 Local Administration General Elections, political parties submitted their objections to the election results to the Supreme Election Council (YSK). The YSK evaluated the election objections filed by political parties during its board meeting at 14:00. During the meeting, which lasted approximately 3 hours, objections regarding 11 districts were reviewed. In the decision rendered, requests for the cancellation of elections, renewal of elections, and recounts of votes for the 11 districts were rejected. The objections filed for the districts and the resulting decisions are as follows:
“In the Eyyübiye district of Şanlıurfa, the New Welfare Party's (Yeniden Refah Partisi) request for the ‘cancellation of the election’ was rejected.
In the Boğazlıyan district of Yozgat, the CHP's request for the ‘renewal of the election’ was rejected.
In the Hamur district of Ağrı, the DEM Party's request for a ‘recount of votes’ was rejected.
In the Mucur district of Kırşehir, the MHP's request for a ‘recount of votes’ was rejected.
In the Koçarlı district of Aydın, the AK Party's request for a ‘recount of votes’ was rejected.
In the İncirliova district of Aydın, the CHP's request for a ‘recount of votes’ was rejected.
In the Bayat district of Çorum, the MHP's request for a ‘recount of votes’ was rejected.
In the center of Nevşehir, the AK Party's request for a ‘recount of all votes’ was rejected.
In the Yalvaç district of Isparta, the AK Party's request for a ‘recount of votes’ was rejected.
In the Baykan district of Siirt, the MHP's objections to the elections were rejected.
In the Üsküp district of Kırklareli, the AK Party's request for a ‘recount of votes’ was rejected.”
