In Istanbul, Narcotics Crimes Investigation teams launched an investigation into the statements made by Yusuf Güney regarding Ayahuasca tea during a program he participated in on a digital broadcasting platform.
Following the investigation initiated over the remarks Güney made during the broadcast, it was stated that the substance DMT, which is contained in Ayahuasca tea, is among the prohibited substances in Turkey.
As a result of the assessments, Yusuf Güney was taken into custody by security forces today. It was learned that police procedures for the famous singer are ongoing.
