Zafer Party candidate withdraws from race in favor of People's Alliance
Kerem Yürümez, the Zafer Party's mayoral candidate for Polatlı, announced that he has withdrawn his candidacy in favor of People's Alliance candidate Levent Çağlancı. Çağlancı expressed his gratitude on his social media account.
Zafer Party Polatlı mayoral candidate Kerem Yürümez and municipal council member candidates Barış Baloğlu and Polat Çağlar announced that they have withdrawn their candidacies in favor of the People's Alliance.
Kerem Yürümez had also been a parliamentary candidate for Ankara's 3rd district representing the Zafer Party in the elections held in May.
In a post on his social media account, Çağlancı stated, "I thank our esteemed candidates who, feeling the responsibility upon them, have supported us and increased our strength, on behalf of our People's Alliance organizations and myself."
In the elections held in Polatlı in May, the People's Alliance received 52 percent of the vote, the Nation Alliance received 35 percent, and the Zafer Party received 3.6 percent.
