115% hike in municipal parking fees in that city!

In Istanbul, parking fees for facilities operated by İSPARK have been increased by up to 115%. During the vote held in the assembly, the AKP voted "no" to the proposal to increase İSPARK parking fees. The proposal was accepted with the votes of CHP members.
DECISION TO INCREASE İSPARK FEES AT THE IMM ASSEMBLY
The third session of the December meeting of the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) Assembly was held at the municipal building in Saraçhane, chaired by the 1st Deputy Speaker of the Assembly, Nuri Aslan.
The proposal to increase the fees for parking lots operated by the IMM subsidiary İSPARK by up to 115% was discussed in the assembly.
In the price hike proposal, within the scope of the Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan, it was proposed that for closed and open parking lots in the Fatih/Historical Peninsula and Kadıköy/Rıhtım regions, the parking fee for up to 1 hour be increased by 115% from 70 liras to 150 liras, the 1-2 hour parking fee from 90 liras to 180 liras, the 2-4 hour fee from 110 liras to 220 liras, the 4-8 hour fee from 135 liras to 275 liras, the 8-12 hour fee from 180 liras to 350 liras, and the 12-24 hour fee from 270 liras to 500 liras.
For roadside parking in the same region, it was requested that the parking fee for up to 1 hour be increased from 70 liras to 150 liras, the 1-2 hour parking fee from 90 liras to 200 liras, the daily fee from 195 liras to 400 liras, and the fee for each subsequent hour from 30 liras to 50 liras.
For closed multi-story and open parking lots in Beşiktaş, Beyoğlu, Fatih, Kadıköy, Şişli, and Üsküdar, it was requested that the parking fee for up to 1 hour be increased from 70 liras to 100 liras, the 1-2 hour parking fee from 90 liras to 130 liras, the 2-4 hour fee from 110 liras to 160 liras, the 4-8 hour fee from 135 liras to 200 liras, the 8-12 hour fee from 180 liras to 260 liras, and the 12-24 hour fee from 270 liras to 400 liras.
In these districts, it was requested that the roadside parking fee for up to 1 hour be increased from 70 liras to 120 liras, the 1-2 hour parking fee from 90 liras to 150 liras, the daily fee from 195 liras to 300 liras, and the fee for each subsequent hour from 30 liras to 40 liras.
For closed multi-story and open parking lots in Ataşehir, Bakırköy, Beykoz, Bayrampaşa, Bahçelievler, Eyüpsultan, Güngören, Kartal, Kağıthane, Maltepe, Pendik, Sarıyer, Zeytinburnu, Tuzla, and Ümraniye, it was proposed that the parking fee for up to 1 hour be increased from 70 liras to 80 liras, the 1-2 hour parking fee from 90 liras to 110 liras, the 2-4 hour fee from 110 liras to 130 liras, the 4-8 hour fee from 135 liras to 170 liras, the 8-12 hour fee from 180 liras to 210 liras, and the 12-24 hour fee from 270 liras to 310 liras.
For roadside parking in these districts, it was requested that the parking fee for up to 1 hour be increased from 70 liras to 90 liras, the 1-2 hour parking fee from 90 liras to 120 liras, the daily fee from 195 liras to 240 liras, and the fee for each subsequent hour from 30 liras to 35 liras.
Furthermore, for closed multi-story, open, and roadside parking lots in Adalar, Arnavutköy, Avcılar, Bağcılar, Başakşehir, Beylikdüzü, Büyükçekmece, Çatalca, Çekmeköy, Esenler, Esenyurt, Gaziosmanpaşa, Küçükçekmece, Sancaktepe, Silivri, Sultangazi, Sultanbeyli, and Şile, it was requested that the 1-hour parking fee of 50 liras be increased to 60 liras, the 1-2 hour fee from 60 liras to 70 liras, the 2-4 hour fee from 80 liras to 90 liras, the 4-8 hour fee from 100 liras to 110 liras, the 8-12 hour fee from 150 liras to 160 liras, and the 12-24 hour fee from 195 liras to 200 liras.
In these districts, it was requested that the roadside parking fee for up to 1 hour be increased from 50 liras to 60 liras, the 1-2 hour parking fee from 70 liras to 80 liras, the daily fee from 165 liras to 190 liras, and the fee for each subsequent hour be 30 liras.
INCREASE IN ENTRANCE FEES FOR FORESTS, GROVES, AND RECREATION AREAS
On the other hand, an increase was also requested for entrance fees to forests, groves, and recreation areas.
Accordingly, it was requested that the entrance fee be increased from 141 liras to 170 liras for cars, from 403 liras to 420 liras for minibuses/pickup trucks/panel vans, from 708 liras to 750 liras for midibuses, from 1418 liras to 1500 liras for buses/trucks, and from 94 liras to 100 liras for motorcycles.
For taxi stands, it was proposed that the entry-exit fee for taxis be increased from 19 liras to 25 liras, and the daily fee from 80 liras to 100 liras.
ACCEPTED WITH THE VOTES OF CHP MEMBERS
In the vote held in the assembly, the AK Party voted "no" to the proposal to increase İSPARK parking fees.
The proposal was accepted with the votes of CHP members.
