1,200 public vehicles to be sold via auction

An important step has been taken within the scope of the Savings and Efficiency Package, which was prepared to liquidate vehicles that are unused or have completed their economic life in public institutions. The Privatization Administration (ÖİB) has been authorized for the sale of these vehicles and has largely completed its preparations.

According to ÖİB sources, this initiative aims to organize the public inventory by quickly selling surplus vehicles, contribute to the budget with the revenue generated, and increase savings in the public sector.

RAPID SALE VIA ELECTRONIC AUCTION METHOD

The vehicle sales process will be carried out in cooperation with the Ministry of Trade. The platform www.eihale.gov.tr, where vehicles remaining at customs are sold, has been opened for use by the ÖİB for this process. Sales will be conducted electronically via an auction method. This method is planned to ensure that tenders are completed quickly and transparently.

Individuals and legal entities will first need to register on the site to purchase the vehicles put up for sale, follow the listings regularly, and participate in the auctions by depositing a cash guarantee. Vehicle sales will be finalized upon the approval of the highest bid. Purchased vehicles will be collected from the relevant public institution, and registration procedures will be carried out on behalf of the buyer.

1,200 VEHICLES ON THE SALES LIST

So far, requests for the sale of approximately 1,200 vehicles from public institutions have been forwarded to the ÖİB. In the first phase, the deadline for final bids for 11 vehicles has been set for Monday, January 20. In the ongoing process, it is aimed to tender 80 to 100 vehicles every week.

The vehicles will be kept in the garages of the relevant institutions until the sale and will be made available for inspection by participants. The vehicles will be delivered to the winning bidders by the institutions themselves.

High demand is expected for these public vehicles being offered for sale as second-hand.
