In the statement issued by the Council, it was noted that the matter of determining the fitre amount for the 2024 month of Ramadan was discussed at a meeting chaired by Prof. Dr. Abdurrahman Haçkalı.
The following was recorded in the statement containing the decisions made after the meeting:
“Taking into account the relevant hadiths, current socio-economic living conditions, and an individual's daily food needs, the fitre amount in our country has been set at 130 TL for the 2024 month of Ramadan.
The specified amount can be given in cash, or it can be given in kind, such as food and similar items.
This determined amount is also the daily fasting ransom (fidye) fee.
In addition, every taxpayer may give an amount equivalent to their daily food expenses as fitre.”
