2025 tariff announced: Changes to Turkish Patent and Trademark Office fees

The Turkish Patent and Trademark Office has announced its updated fee schedule for 2025.

According to the communiqué published in the Official Gazette, changes have been made to the fees for trademark renewal, cancellation, and application processes.

Under the new regulation, while certain fee increases have been implemented for trademark renewal and cancellation processes, new practices have been introduced regarding additional class applications.

In this context, the pricing for trademark cancellation requests will be collected under two separate items. The trademark cancellation fee and the amount to be deposited into the escrow account will be paid together, but VAT will not be included in the escrow amount.

The updated fee schedule has been determined as follows:

  • Trademark renewal fee (up to 2 classes): 2,049.67 TL
  • Trademark renewal fee for expired protection period (up to 2 classes): 5,235.42 TL
  • Trademark cancellation fee: 23,458.33 TL
  • Trademark cancellation request escrow amount: 23,458.33 TL
  • Trademark renewal fee for each additional class: 500 TL
  • Renewal fee for a trademark with an expired protection period for each additional class: 875 TL
  • Trademark application additional class fee (for the 3rd class and onwards): 654.42 TL
  • Additional class fee for the 3rd class and onwards selected from the 34 commodity classes under the 35/5th group: 300 TL
