50 Turkish startups to showcase domestic technologies at CES 2024 in Las Vegas
As part of the Call for Participation in Global Entrepreneurship Events, 50 Turkish technology startups that qualified to attend CES 2024 (Consumer Electronics Show), the world's largest consumer electronics fair, will showcase domestic technologies in Las Vegas.
According to the statement from the Istanbul Development Agency, a delegation of 150 people, consisting of 50 Turkish technology startups, stakeholders, and representatives, will travel to Las Vegas for CES 2024.
The CES 2024 Turkey Pavilion will be established for Turkish technology startups at the fair, which will be held from January 9-12, 2024.
At the fair, where more than 1,200 technology companies from over 150 countries will participate, Turkish entrepreneurs will exhibit many innovative products for the first time, ranging from a smart cane initiative for visually impaired children to a domestic initiative that converts coffee waste into bio-raw materials, and from an electric vehicle performance management platform to wearable technologies.
The joint participation of Turkish technology startups in CES, Web Summit, Slush, and Web Summit Qatar, which are among the world's most important entrepreneurship events, is being carried out this year for the first time with the cooperation of 5 Development Agencies working under the coordination of the Ministry of Industry and Technology.
More than 100 Turkish technology startups aiming to open up to global markets are being taken to global events held in Las Vegas, Lisbon, Helsinki, and Doha through the cooperation of the Istanbul Development Agency, Ankara Development Agency, Izmir Development Agency, Bursa Eskişehir Bilecik Development Agency, and the West Mediterranean Development Agency.
At CES 2024, Turkish startups will promote innovative technology products ranging from the world's first electric children's bicycle and the world's first and only conditional fan support platform to wearable technologies, industrial design, digital logistics, unmanned aerial vehicles, fast delivery solutions for e-commerce, mobile gaming, educational technologies, and electronics and automation solutions, and will have the opportunity to hold customer meetings.
Turkish Airlines is also providing discounted tickets to the startups as part of a sponsorship agreement.
This year, the CES area will feature startups from different technology categories representing industries such as artificial intelligence, smart cities, cryptocurrency and NFTs, food technology, digital health, augmented and virtual reality, robotics and drones, space technology, gaming and e-sports, vehicle technology, and many more from all over the world.
The Call for Participation in Global Entrepreneurship Events provides entrepreneurs with the opportunity to promote their products not only for the American market but also for the European and MENA regions.
The 23 Turkish technology startups selected under the call participated in Web Summit, the world's largest technology conference held in Lisbon, Portugal, from November 13-16, 2023, where they promoted their products and met with investors.
Meanwhile, 18 Turkish technology startups participated in the Slush event held in Helsinki, Finland, from November 30 to December 1, 2023, where they competed with international startups and had the opportunity to meet with venture capital funds.
Turkish technology startups will also participate in Web Summit Qatar, which will be held for the first time in Doha, Qatar, from February 26-29, 2024.
